노동사목은 성 김대건 안드레아 사제와 성 정하상 바오로와 동료 순교자들 대축일인 지난 9월 20일(일) 오후 1시 30분, 주교좌 중앙성당에서 이주민 합동미사(다중 언어 미사)를 봉헌했다. 본부장 차광준 다윗 신부 주례로 봉헌된 미사에는 이주민 교우 500여 명이 참례했다. 독서와 보편 지향 기도는 영어·베트남어·타갈로그어·테툼어·인도네시아어·스페인어·프랑스어·스와힐리어·한국어로 바쳤고, 미사곡과 주님의 기도는 그레고리오 성가로 함께 노래했다.

   강론을 맡은 부본부장 김진호 바오로 신부는 "우리는 103위 순교 성인 명단에 들어 있는 프랑스 선교사들을 프랑스 성인이라 부르지 않고 한국 순교 성인이라 부른다"고 짚었다. 김대건 신부 역시 "이주민으로 살아 본 사람"이었다며 "오늘 이 대축일은 남의 나라 성인들의 축일이 아니다"라고 말했다. 이어 식구(食口)가 '한 상에서 밥을 먹는 입'이라는 뜻임을 들어 "이 자리에 손님은 없다"며 "우리는 이미 부산교구의 교구민이고, 부산교구의 식구"라고 강조했다.

"We Are the People of the Diocese of Busan!" Joint Mass for Migrants Celebrated

   The Labor Pastoral Care of the Diocese celebrated a joint Mass for migrants (Multilingual Mass) at Jungang Co-Cathedral at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, the Solemnity of Saints Andrew Kim Tae-gon, Priest, and Paul Chong Ha-sang, and Companions, Martyrs. Some 500 migrant faithful took part in the Mass, at which the director, Fr. David Cha Kwang-jun, presided. The readings and the Universal Prayer were offered in English, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Tetum, Indonesian, Spanish, French, Swahili, and Korean, and the Mass parts and the Lord's Prayer were sung together in Gregorian chant.

   In his homily, the vice-director, Fr. Paul Kim Jin-ho, pointed out, "We do not call the French missionaries named among the 103 Martyr Saints French saints; we call them Korean Saints." St. Andrew Kim Tae-gon, too, was "someone who had lived as a migrant," he said, adding, "Today's solemnity is not the feast of some other country's saints." Noting that the Korean word for family, sikgu (食口), literally means "mouths that eat at one table," he went on, "There are no guests here," and stressed, "We are already people of the Diocese of Busan, and members of its family."
